AVAI (“we,” “our,” or “us”) provides AI-based tools for AV professionals. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and how we protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what is required to operate AVAI and give you access to its features.

Account Information
We collect your name, email, and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored securely using hashing and cannot be accessed in plain text.

Purchase Information
When you buy access to AVAI, we record the transaction through LemonSqueezy. We do not store credit card details. LemonSqueezy handles all payment processing under its own privacy policy.

Chat Interaction Data
When you use AVAI’s chatbot features, your messages are sent to the OpenAI API to generate responses. We log interactions to improve performance and troubleshoot issues.

Device and Access Logs
We may collect IP address, browser type, and technical metadata to monitor usage, prevent abuse, and maintain security.

Cookies
We use essential cookies for login and session management. No analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies are used.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

  • Create and manage your account

  • Deliver access to the platform after purchase

  • Generate responses using OpenAI’s API

  • Monitor performance and security

  • Improve reliability and user experience

We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or third-party marketing services.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure infrastructure with restricted access. Passwords are hashed, and chat data is separated from account data. We monitor for unauthorized access and follow best practices to keep your information secure.

4. Third-Party Services

We use third-party providers to power core features of AVAI:

  • LemonSqueezy handles payment processing and license delivery

  • OpenAI API is used to generate chatbot responses based on your input

These services process limited user data in order to function and operate under their own privacy terms.

5. Your Rights

You may request:

  • A copy of your stored data

  • Deletion of your account and all related data

  • Correction of inaccurate account information

6. Data Retention

We retain account and usage data while your account is active. If your account is deleted, associated personal data will be removed, subject to standard backup clearing procedures.

7. Children’s Data

AVAI is not designed for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our platform or legal obligations. Any updates will be posted here with a revised effective date.
